grapefruit tea.

hot tea is not always appetizing in this hot heat, but this sultry recipe has been my go-to summer night drink these last few months. it has the perfect combination of spice and tart, not to mention, grapefruit has a compound called naringenin that has been proven to make our insulin more effective.
brewing instructions:
squeeze the juice from 2 fresh grapefruits into a medium pot. then add 2 tablespoons of local honey, 1 cinnamon stick, 1/2 cup of water, and 1/2 a teaspoon of allspice berries in the mix! bring to a boil, strain and discard solids, and serve!
